A copyright notice about material published on this journal goes to the same address as everything else: contact@mississippi-canine-coalition.org, with the subject line reading DMCA. The desk opens it, logs it with its date, and answers at that address.

What a complete notice contains

A notice the desk can act on carries five things: the work claimed, identified precisely enough to find; the page on this journal where the material sits, by its full address; the name and contact details of the party making the claim; a statement that the use is unauthorized by the copyright holder, its agent, or the law; and a statement, signed under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and the signer is authorized to act for the holder. A notice missing any of the five is answered with a request for the missing piece, and the clock starts when the complete notice arrives.

What happens next

The desk checks the claim against the page, removes or restores the material as the check decides, and answers at the address of record.
